Even and Odd Numbers

Generally, the numbers that can be represented in pairs are called even numbers.

  • The numbers 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 are even numbers. These numbers can be easily represented in pairs.
  • The numbers having 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 at their ones’ place are called even numbers.

Even numbers in between 0-100.

  • Similarly for the 3-digit numbers also, the numbers which ends with 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 are called even numbers.

Example: 202, 480, 566, 784, 948, … etc. are even numbers.

 

Odd Numbers

Generally, the numbers that cannot be presented in pairs are called odd numbers.

  • The numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 are odd numbers. These numbers cannot be represented in pairs.
  • The numbers having 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 at their ones’ place are called odd numbers.

Odd numbers in between 0-100.

  • Similarly for the 3-digit numbers also, the numbers which ends with 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 are called odd numbers.

Example: 111, 233, 525, 729, 867, …etc. are odd numbers.
