Use of ‘these’:

  1. ‘These’ is a word used to indicate more than one person, animal, or thing near us.

    Examples:

    In the above examples, both the boys are denoting more than one object or person that is near them.

  2. It can be used with nouns. Usually, the word ‘these’ is used before nouns.

Use of ‘those’:

‘Those’ is a word used to talk about more than one person, animal, or thing far away from us or not near us.

Common Mistake:

Don’t use ‘these’ and ‘those’ to denote singular objects.
