The pronouns I and me are considered the most frequently misunderstood words in the English Language. This concept will reduce the confusion of students and make them acquainted with the common errors that can happen while using them in a sentence.
The students will also learn the following from this learning concept:
Class 1 students have been given an explanation of this subject using examples, diagrams, and visuals. Students have been provided with two free printable PDF worksheets at the end of the page. Students can solve the problems after going through the concept. The worksheet on pronouns for class 1 also has solutions that have been provided in PDF format.
In the above examples, we haven’t used the naming words or nouns. This is because the pronouns ‘I’ and ‘me’ have replaced the naming words.
Though ‘I’ and ‘me’ both are pronouns, they have different usages.
Let’s see how to use them in a sentence.
1. ‘I’ can’t be used at the end of a sentence. It usually sits at the beginning of a sentence.
Example:
I love reading books.
Me love reading books.
2. On the other hand, ‘me’ is always used at the end of a sentence. It can’t sit at the beginning of a sentence.
Example:They gave me a pen.
They gave I a pen.
