  • The pronoun ‘ours’ is used to refer to the belongings associated with the speaker.
  • This is used when the thing belongs to the speaker along with one or a group of people.

Common Mistakes

  1. Never use an apostrophe (‘) before the ‘s’ in the pronoun ‘Ours’ as it is incorrect

    Examples :

    Ours is a better plan than yours.

    Our's is a better plan than yours.

  2. Never use an apostrophe (‘) before the ‘s’ in the pronoun ‘Theirs’ as it is incorrect.

    Examples :

    That book is not ours but theirs.

    That book is not ours but their’s.
