Divisibility Rule of 9

A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of its digits is a multiple of 9 (like 9, 18, 27, 36, etc.).

If the sum is divisible by 9, then the whole number is also divisible by 9!

  2. Add up all the digits.

  3. Check if the sum is a multiple of 9.

  4. If yes, the number is divisible by 9.

Example 1: Is 729 divisible by 9?
