The CBSE Syllabus Class 11 has the aim of providing a sound basis for the fundamentals in the subjects concerned and to prepare the children for competitive examinations and higher studies. The regular subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, Computer Science, Hindi, and Physical Education.  

Students learn Physics and study concepts related to waves, thermodynamics, and mechanics while developing their analytic and problem-solving skills at the same time. Chemistry includes physical, inorganic, and organic chemistry; chemical equations and reactions are emphasized more, though. Mathematics consists of calculus, algebra, and trigonometry and forms a very important basis for most subjects.

English 

The CBSE Syllabus Class 11 English covers literature, language, and communicative skills. Maths

CBSE Class 11 English Syllabus Breakdown:

The two broad sections that constitute the CBSE Syllabus Class 11 English are Core English and Elective English. 

The two textbooks forming a part of Core English are, Hornbook and Snapshots. They have their contents within a wide range of prose, poetry, and short stories written by Indian and foreign authors. Literature herein carves out critical analysis and literary appreciation.  

Elective English involves more detailed literary analysis and extra texts such as Woven Words. The aim of both streams is to develop the language capability through writing, grammatical, and comprehension exercises that include debates, essay, and report writing.

More importantly, the syllabus includes an Assessment of Listening and Speaking Skills (ASL) to help students become better communicators.

CBSE Class 11 Hindi Syllabus Breakdown:

There are two sections to the CBSE Syllabus Class 11 Hindi: Core Hindi and Elective Hindi.  

Core Hindi consists of two textbooks mainly: Vistas and Kshitij. While Kshitij contains works of the recent past, Vistas covers prose and poetry from classic to contemporary Hindi literature. The significance of the study of topics, language, and literary devices is brought to light in both the works.  

Elective Hindi provides a more intensive study of the literary forms and genres with additional texts. It would involve, among others, poetry, short stories, and plays with a view to providing intensive knowledge and thus critical analysis and appreciation of literature.

CBSE Class 11 Biology curriculum comprises the following: Diversity in Living World, Structural Organization in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, and Human Physiology. 

While Structural Organization deals with anatomy and physiology in plants and animals, in Diversity in the Living World, many creatures are reviewed in relation to their classification, structure, and functions.
